Internal Auditor II

Location: Fully remote within the Continental U.S. (Remote-MO)

Salary: $56,200–$101,000 per year

What you will do

• Execute strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risk-based audits across health plan operations and shared services.
• Evaluate controls and processes for scalability, effectiveness, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
• Support audit planning, refine work programs, conduct inquiry meetings, perform testing and fieldwork, and close engagements.
• Draft audit reports with findings, recommendations, metrics, and visualizations.
• Communicate audit observations, process improvement opportunities, and best practices, and obtain management responses.
• Present and monitor audit results while supporting special projects and emerging AI-related audit initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of public accounting, internal audit, operational auditing, or related business experience.
• Strong critical thinking, written communication, project ownership, and independent decision-making skills.
• Experience with Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, and queries.
• Ability to work fully remotely within the Continental U.S.
• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, managed care, Medicare, IT, or operational auditing experience.
• Experience with Power BI and Workiva.
