Sr. Systems Integration Engineer (I/II) (Weekend Shift) (Satellite Manufacturing): Building, integrating, and testing spacecraft at subsystem and system levels with an accent on vehicle assembly, manufacturing procedures, and electronic and mechanical system testing. Focus on debugging satellite systems, managing test campaigns, resolving non-conformances, and advancing integration and manufacturing automation.
Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite weekend shift, Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–7:00 PM
Salary: $110,000–$150,000 USD annually

What you will do
- Design spacecraft assembly processes, procedures, tools, and hardware.
- Develop and execute integration and testing campaigns for electronic and mechanical systems.
- Define vehicle integration build flows and test concepts of operations.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability and subsystem integration.
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians to advance manufacturing and automation.
- Manage work orders, resolve electrical and mechanical issues, and convert non-conformances into system improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance are required.
- Hands-on work involving standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.
- Experience with spacecraft subsystem integration and testing, including propulsion, thermal, electrical, structural, vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum, or radiation testing.
- Experience with electrical debugging, test planning, configuration management, production environments, cleanrooms, basic programming, or Linux is relevant to the role.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
- PCB assembly debugging and electrical schematic reading experience.
- Experience writing test plans and procedures and providing go/no-go judgments.
- Aerospace production or laboratory experience, including cleanroom and ESD precautions.
