Accounting Manager

Location: San Carlos, United States; hybrid work arrangement.

hirify.global develops solar-powered, AI-assisted cameras and automated traffic-law enforcement services to improve pedestrian safety, serving municipalities through recurring, revenue-share, and multi-year contracts.

What you will do

• Bring accounting operations in-house from an outsourced provider, including books, processes, vendor relationships, and internal controls.
• Own month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and close-calendar improvements.
• Implement Campfire as the accounting system of record, including chart of accounts design, data migration, integrations, and training.
• Manage revenue recognition for municipal contracts, including revenue-share and percentage-of-completion arrangements.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, benefits administration, municipal billing, collections, and sales/use tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare financial statements and audit-ready documentation while partnering with Finance, Sales, and Operations on unit economics and contract terms.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or Controller-track experience.
• Direct experience transitioning accounting from an outsourced provider to an in-house function.
• Hands-on ERP or accounting-system implementation experience with Campfire, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or a similar platform.
• Full-cycle month-end close ownership through finalized financial statements.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to perform transactional accounting while building scalable, well-documented processes.
• Experience in hardware, hardware-enabled services, or another operationally complex business; CPA or CPA-track experience is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with revenue-share, usage-based, or percentage-of-completion revenue models.
• Government or municipal contracts and public-sector billing or collections experience.
• Experience preparing a company for its first financial statement audit.
• Exposure to AI or automation tools for close, reconciliation, or reporting workflows.
