Java Backend Developer (AWS/Pulumi)

Location: Remote from Ukraine, Poland, Spain, Brazil, or Argentina

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in the Java backend application.
• Write and maintain AWS infrastructure as code using Pulumi and TypeScript.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles to backend and infrastructure development.
• Support the database modernization from SQL Server to AWS Aurora.
• Create and run load-testing scripts for the new AWS Aurora database.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes environments and resolve reactive platform tickets.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundation with proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming patterns.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience with Pulumi using TypeScript.
• Deep Terraform experience may be considered with strong software engineering skills and the ability to learn Pulumi and TypeScript.
• Curiosity, a self-serve attitude, and a proactive approach to root-cause analysis.
