Senior Director, Business Strategy & Operations - Office of the CCO (Life Sciences)

Location: Onsite in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $233,000–$280,000 USD base pay annually

What you will do

• Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Chief Commercial Officer and Commercial Leadership Team.
• Frame and resolve high-priority strategic, organizational, and operational questions.
• Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through resolution and execution.
• Shape the Commercial operating model as the organization advances toward launch and future growth.
• Establish leadership operating rhythms covering strategic planning, governance, business reviews, and decision-making.
• Prepare Executive Committee and Board materials that translate complex issues into clear narratives, choices, and recommendations.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience, including experience advising C-suite executives.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA, PharmD, or PhD is preferred.
• Exceptional strategic problem-solving, analytical, communication, and judgment skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without formal authority.
• Experience in commercial strategy, rare disease, product launches, late-stage development, organizational transformation, or commercialization.
• Strong prioritization, organizational awareness, follow-through, and comfort with evolving priorities.

Nice to have

• Strategy consulting experience in life sciences.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA, PharmD, or PhD.
