Scientist, Functional Genomics

Location: Englewood, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $135,000–$175,000 annual base pay, plus additional compensation of $7,500–$17,500 per year.

What you will do

• Investigate the functional impact of SNPs and VUSs on protein and cellular function.
• Perform molecular, cellular, tissue, and animal model studies using human primary and iPSC-derived cell types.
• Manage outsourced research projects with CROs.
• Collaborate with Translational Bioinformatics, Genomics, and other scientific groups.
• Identify actionable targets for therapeutic development.

Requirements

• PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
• In-depth knowledge of modern molecular and cellular biology techniques.
• Professional experience with mammalian cell culture.
• Experience creating and validating stem cell-derived disease models.
• Programming experience, preferably with Python.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in functional genomics.
• Experience with iPSCs and iPSC differentiation protocols.
