What you will do

• Lead research projects focused on novel nucleic acid-based diagnostic methods and next-generation sequencing technologies.
• Plan and execute complex laboratory experiments, analyze data, and refine project direction.
• Develop project plans, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver research milestones on schedule.
• Coordinate experiments and analysis with statistics, bioinformatics, and data science teams.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• Communicate research progress, outcomes, and next steps to colleagues and senior management.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent in molecular biology, genomics, or a closely related discipline.
• At least two years of industry experience after a Ph.D., or at least one year of industry experience after postdoctoral research.
• Hands-on experience with NGS technologies, DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, target enrichment, and DNA sequencers.
• Experience developing NGS technologies from initial concept through product development.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical testing using Excel, JMP, R, or Python.
• Experience writing project plans, study protocols, and standard operating procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience in a CLIA laboratory or Quality Management System environment.
• Experience with epigenetics, methylation, cfDNA/RNA, or digital PCR.
• Experience in transplant assessment, oncology, NIPT, or liquid biopsy applications.
• Bioinformatics or programming experience with Python, R, or SQL.
