Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with three days per week in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States.

Salary: $160,000–$183,000 base compensation annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build products and engineering tools that create value for customers, the business, and fellow engineers.
• Design, develop, and deliver scalable products and features used by millions of consumers.
• Use AWS infrastructure and advanced services, including serverless architectures.
• Own technical solutions end to end, from design and implementation through production operations.
• Leverage AI in software development and production systems, including automated workflows and agents.
• Mentor engineers, promote development best practices, and contribute to CI/CD, testing, code reviews, and quality evaluation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, software architecture, and highly scalable, observable, fault-tolerant systems.
• Strong experience with AI tools, LLM API calls, prompting, agentic frameworks, RAG, vector databases, and model fine-tuning.
• Experience building, deploying, and operating automated workflows and agents using n8n, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, Java, Kotlin, Node, Vue, Swift, MySQL, DynamoDB, or Redis.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, DevOps practices, Terraform, automated testing, and evaluation-driven development.
