Instructional Designer - Senior

Location: Hybrid in Jacksonville, Florida, United States; routine travel to headquarters, field offices, client offices, work sites, and other project-related locations may be required.

What you will do

• Design and develop multimedia-rich classroom, self-guided, and virtual training programs for rail and transit clients.
• Lead end-to-end learning content development, including instructional goals, curriculum strategies, assessments, exams, surveys, and evaluation activities.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, safety officers, operations leaders, and clients to identify training needs and close knowledge gaps.
• Lead cross-functional development teams, project meetings, presentations, proposals, timelines, budgets, and project documentation.
• Develop instructor-led training guides, participant materials, e-learning modules, interactive exercises, scripts, audio, video, animations, simulations, and games.
• Guide other instructional designers and content developers while maintaining course quality, consistency, accessibility, and inclusiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Communications, Education, or a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs or similar training initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
• Extensive experience with e-learning development tools such as Articulate and Captivate.
• High proficiency in instructor-led training materials, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, written communication, proofreading, and instructional copywriting.
• Experience managing client relationships and training development projects, with strong organization, planning, prioritization, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential.
