Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States; onsite position with up to 20% travel for position-associated missions and training.
Salary: Up to $7,612.81 monthly ($91,353.72 annually).

What you will do
- Manage the Autonomy Research Institute’s enterprise financial operations and an annual budget of approximately $7–10 million.
- Develop, monitor, reconcile, and forecast departmental and project budgets across state, local, and sponsored funding sources.
- Analyze expenditures, revenues, payroll, variances, and financial performance, recommending corrective actions and resource allocations.
- Coordinate pre-award and post-award financial activities, procurement documentation, contracts, and project financial closeout.
- Maintain financial tracking and reporting systems, audit-ready documentation, internal controls, and compliance processes.
- Supervise assigned personnel and advise executive leadership, principal investigators, and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available due to federal deemed export controls and ITAR compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Eight years of experience in financial management, research administration, program management, sponsored project administration, or a related field; a relevant master’s or doctoral degree may substitute for part of the experience requirement.
- Experience with grant and sponsored research administration, contract administration, budget management, project-level financial tracking, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data, interpret financial and sponsor requirements, manage competing priorities, and communicate findings to leadership.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience with multi-million-dollar budgets, pre-award and post-award administration, cross-functional coordination, or staff supervision.
- Experience in higher education or familiarity with aviation, autonomous systems, unmanned aircraft systems, or advanced air mobility.
