TL;DR
Business Systems Analyst II (Business Analysis/Requirements): Analyzing business processes and small to medium software system problems while translating stakeholder needs into functional, non-functional, user, and testing requirements with an accent on process documentation, reporting, database structures, and requirements traceability. Focus on reviewing test coverage, prioritizing defects, supporting software quality assurance and user acceptance testing, and coordinating client onboarding.

What you will do
- Analyze business problem statements and develop solutions for small to medium software systems projects.
- Translate business needs into business, functional, non-functional, user, and testing requirements.
- Document process specifications, business rules, reporting needs, database structures, and requirements traceability.
- Communicate requirements progress to stakeholders and support project status reporting.
- Review test strategies, plans, and cases; support Software Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing teams.
- Review defects, coordinate fix priorities and workarounds, resolve file mapping questions, and support client onboarding.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst I or in related business application support.
- Technical coursework, equivalent technical aptitude, or experience in information technology, insurance, or financial services.
- Working knowledge of process models, requirements documentation, reporting, data structures, analysis, modeling, design, documentation, and testing methodologies.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, customer service, communication, organization, presentation, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Access, and Project.
- Ability to explain technical requirements to clients and collaborate effectively with internal and external customers.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with Cotrak, FocusNet, LossTrack, or Temenos.
- Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA).
- Collections background or experience.
