Quotations Specialist (Electrical Distribution)

Location: Carrollton, TX, United States; the role includes work at the office or work location and occasional travel to offsite locations.

What you will do

• Prepare quotations for low- to moderate-complexity electrical distribution, lighting, and controls projects.
• Review bid packages, including technical, commercial, manufacturer, and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with outside sales, branches, customers, and vendors on proposal strategy, deadlines, and project details.
• Issue requests for quotation, collect supplier pricing, prepare bid tabulations, and submit final proposals.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, recommend substitute products, and support margin and vendor strategy discussions.
• Build customer and supplier relationships while developing product knowledge through meetings, seminars, and training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to develop lighting layouts and working knowledge of AGi32.
• Strong organization, prioritization, communication, customer service, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, PDF editing tools such as Bluebeam or Adobe, and quoting tools.
• Ability to collaborate with sales teams, customers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ability to remain stationary, move around the work location, operate office equipment, and occasionally handle warehouse-related physical activities and equipment.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of customer service, project management, or related experience.
• Experience in electrical distribution, lighting, controls, or a related industry.
