CPO Modeling, Analysis, Predictions, and Projections (MAPP) Support - NOAA

Location: Based out of Silver Spring, Maryland, USA; remote telework with hybrid and in-person work as required

What you will do

• Develop and coordinate grant funding competitions, including proposal mail and panel reviews.
• Monitor funded research projects by collecting, reviewing, and archiving progress reports.
• Maintain accurate project records and coordinate award honoraria and award maintenance.
• Support research priorities in drought, heat, model diagnostics, global modeling, prediction, and projections.
• Develop partnerships and collaborative initiatives across NOAA programs, agencies, and research organizations.
• Manage task forces, track program accomplishments, and communicate research transitions and outcomes.

Requirements

• Technical and organizational expertise in research program strategy and execution.
• Experience supporting research priorities, project management, and program effectiveness.
• Ability to coordinate with program leads, funded investigators, stakeholders, and partner agencies.
• Ability to work from or be based out of Silver Spring, Maryland, with hybrid and in-person participation as required.
