Senior Project Manager - Data Management

Location: Hybrid in the Buffalo, NY area, with a minimum of three days per week onsite at the Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY. Candidates must live locally.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead large-scale data management programs spanning multiple projects, workstreams, business teams, IT teams, vendors, and delivery partners.
• Develop program strategies, roadmaps, integrated plans, schedules, milestones, delivery models, and performance measures.
• Establish governance practices covering decision logs, documentation, risks, issues, dependencies, audit readiness, compliance, and financial tracking.
• Act as the primary executive-facing program leader by facilitating decisions, escalating risks, communicating status, and driving accountability.
• Manage budgets, resources, forecasts, vendor performance, testing, deployment readiness, operational readiness, adoption, and benefits realization.
• Support Data Governance activities, including stewardship rollout, Data Council cadence, and MDM/Data Quality initiative tracking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business management, engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least seven years of project or program management experience in IT, business transformation, or complex cross-functional environments.
• At least five years managing large cross-functional programs or multiple interrelated projects and more than three years in people leadership or matrix leadership.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation, systems thinking, and organizational skills.
• Expertise in program governance, risk and issue management, dependency management, compliance alignment, audit readiness, and financial tracking.
• Knowledge of PMI, Agile, SAFe, hybrid delivery models, and program management, workflow, portfolio, financial, reporting, and collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and at least ten years of project or program management experience.
• Experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform, Genie Spaces, Data Governance, MDM, and Data Quality tools.
• PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms; ServiceNow experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in regulated environments and with technology-enabled transformation, adoption, benefits realization, and measurable business outcomes.
