Software Engineer, Early Careers (AI and UI)

Location: San Jose, California, United States. Hybrid work with office attendance Monday through Thursday and a flexible Friday.

What you will do

• Build and ship multi-step agents that detect service regressions, bisect faulty commits, propose fixes, and generate or review production code.
• Develop internal skills, harnesses, and services that improve engineering productivity.
• Process real-time telemetry and events at streaming scale under CPU and memory constraints on consumer devices.
• Solve agent problems involving physical feedback, device fleets, and hardware signals that cannot be fully simulated locally.
• Own features end to end across the OS platform layer, applications, UI, and cloud integrations.

Requirements

• Up to 4–6 years of professional engineering experience after completing studies.
• Strong systems or infrastructure fundamentals, including real-time data, telemetry, distributed systems, platforms, or device engineering.
• Experience building and shipping a multi-step agentic system that other people use.
• Ability to explain accountability, design, review discipline, and quality gates for code generated or written by others.
• Fluent use of AI tools, assessed through a hands-on engineering exercise on an unfamiliar codebase.
• Existing right to work in the United States required; visa sponsorship is not available.
