Senior Software Engineer, Stream Integrations (Node/TypeScript)

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $160,000–$220,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop integrations between hirify.global’s data stream processing engine and systems such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kafka, AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage.
• Research, provision, build, and configure third-party technologies and accounts needed for integration development.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust production code using Node.js, TypeScript, and occasional C++.
• Create test plans, automated tests, and integration tests to validate product features.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and business teams on feature implementation and code reviews.
• Participate in a weekly 24/7 support on-call rotation and other standby or off-hours duties.

Requirements

• Experience integrating third-party applications, libraries, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Experience using and building REST APIs and working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to research unfamiliar technologies and build robust systems in uncertain environments.
• Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics in remote, distributed environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with OAuth 2, OpenID Connect, LDAP, or SAML.
