Software Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with three required in-office days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States and be authorized to work there full-time.

Salary: $33.85 per hour worked; competitive pay and housing assistance are available for out-of-state students.

What you will do

• Learn and apply the software development process within a cross-functional engineering team.
• Design, develop, test, review, and release features used by millions of users.
• Use AWS infrastructure and advanced cloud services in daily development work.
• Participate in system design discussions and code reviews.
• Use AI thoughtfully for prototyping, development, testing, debugging, code comprehension, and production operations.

Requirements

• Be a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop ideas creatively and implement them from start to finish.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn and collaborate.
• Have exposure to Python, Java, Ruby, JavaScript, and TypeScript, along with multiple frameworks.
• Understand software testing and CI/CD concepts, REST APIs, microservices, distributed architectures, and foundational database design and query concepts.
• Be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
