Software Engineer - Summer Intern 2027 (AI)

What you will do

• Contribute to real product features through implementation, code review, merging, and production deployment.
• Build server-side and user-facing applications on top of machine learning capabilities.
• Design interfaces, APIs, and services for immediate needs, future scaling, and reuse.
• Develop abstractions that support observability and deployment of the core platform.
• Build data ingestion and processing systems for software products and machine learning research.
• Participate in technical discussions and use dedicated learning time to explore new engineering practices.

Requirements

• Core expertise in an area such as distributed computing or strong knowledge of one of the technologies used.
• Practical understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Personal projects, open-source contributions, or a portfolio of work.
• Ability to contribute across different teams and product areas.
• Effective coding, documentation, and communication habits.
• Interns must work in person from the Cambridge or New York City office.
