Sr. Corporate Counsel (Automotive)

Location: Remote - United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $154,200.00–$192,750.00 base salary, with potential bonus and/or equity programs depending on level and role.

What you will do

• Provide concise general legal advice to business stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Advise on compliance, consumer protection, cybersecurity, data privacy, and employment laws in the United States and Canada.
• Review, draft, and negotiate employment and commercial agreements, including SaaS, subscription, NDA, lease, advertising, media, and professional services contracts.
• Review policies, advertising, promotional materials, technology licensing, software agreements, and trademark usage for legal compliance and risk reduction.
• Manage potential and ongoing litigation with outside counsel, including reviewing or drafting motions and pleadings.
• Support strategic analysis, mergers and acquisitions due diligence, corporate governance, and new business initiatives.

Requirements

• Active license in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• General corporate legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating complex commercial and employment contracts.
• Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment, consumer protection, data privacy, and federal and state civil procedure laws.
• Litigation experience or litigation management, along with strong strategic, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience in an e-commerce, technology, or automotive company.
• Experience with product development, U.S. data security and privacy regulations, or fintech.
