Associate Research Engineer (Power Systems)

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States. US citizenship required. Willingness to travel up to 25% is required.

Salary: $84,000–$124,000 per year.

What you will do

• Assist with designing, prototyping, and documenting technologies for products and solutions.
• Support engineers in researching ideas and writing functional specifications.
• Analyze competitor products and identify relevant technical opportunities.
• Prepare application notes, white papers, technical reports, conference papers, and journal papers.
• Write patent and copyright applications to protect intellectual property.
• Apply company operating and manufacturing principles in research activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on power, or related equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of power system analysis, protection, and stability.
• Experience with EMTP, load flow, short-circuit studies, or digital signal processing.
• Excellent writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• US citizenship is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
