Senior Research Engineer (CFD)

Location: On-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; at least four days per week in the office at hirify.global Center.

Salary: $124,127–$151,710 annual compensation range, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Lead the development and application of computational fluid dynamics models for fluid flow and heat transfer.
• Apply multiphysics modeling and simulation to material handling, energy transport, products, and processes.
• Develop and validate CFD models to identify optimal design spaces and process improvements.
• Support customer simulation engagements involving complex fluid dynamics challenges.
• Collaborate with application engineers, scientists, and process engineers on next-generation products.
• Contribute to analysis and development of intellectual property.

Requirements

• Completed and verified Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field.
• At least three years of experience in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, physics, or another science area.
• At least three years of experience in computational fluid dynamics.
• Ability to work on-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, at least four days per week.
• Willingness to comply with corporate policies, security standards, and environmental health and safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or another programming language.
• Knowledge of material handling, energy transport, fluid flow, and high-performance computing environments.
• Experience integrating machine learning or artificial intelligence with CFD models.
• Familiarity with fluid-structure interaction and reduced-order models.
• Experience collaborating with global teams and customers, and leading high-performance teams.
