Senior Field Service Engineer (Cleanroom Certification)

Location: North Brunswick Township, NJ, USA; field travel within the customer territory up to five days per week

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

What you will do

• Perform and authenticate cleanroom, controlled-environment, biosafety cabinet, fume hood, isolator, RABS, and glovebox certifications.
• Conduct airflow, HEPA/ULPA filter leak, pressure cascade, visualization, recovery, containment leak, particle counting, and ISO classification testing.
• Author and maintain test methods, certification protocols, qualification documents, and SOPs.
• Review certification reports, investigate out-of-specification results, and support customer deviations and corrective actions.
• Train, mentor, direct, and assess field engineers and technicians toward CETA and NEBB certification.
• Specify and maintain instruments, troubleshoot laboratory equipment, support quotations and audits, and manage customer scheduling and service documentation.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a related field and 7–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in field service engineering.
• Subject-matter expertise in cleanroom certifications, biosafety cabinets, hoods, HEPA filters, and controlled environments.
• CETA certification in good standing, such as CNBT or RCP-CT, obtained or renewed within the past five years.
• Knowledge of ISO 14644, NSF/ANSI 49, USP <797>, and USP <800>; missing USP knowledge must be acquired within six months.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, communicate clearly, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel within the customer territory up to five days per week, with overnight travel as needed.

Nice to have

• NEBB Cleanroom Performance Testing or AABC certification.
• Experience with customer quality audits, state board of pharmacy inspections, or FDA inspections.
