What you will do

• Prepare media and reagents for microbiological analyses.
• Conduct routine and non-routine analyses in accordance with USP, EP, ASTM, AOAC, FDA, EPA, client, and other applicable procedures.
• Schedule studies, meet completion deadlines, and maintain accurate records in notebooks and LIMS.
• Perform aseptic techniques, disinfection, media qualification, laboratory monitoring, calibration, maintenance, and sterilization activities.
• Document activities in accordance with cGMP and maintain an orderly laboratory work area.
• Mentor and train new microbiologists as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related science.
• At least 5 years of experience in a regulated commercial laboratory environment.
• Experience with sterility testing under USP <71>.
• Thorough knowledge of scientific principles.
• Onsite work in Lincolnshire, Illinois, USA.
