Senior Configuration Analyst (DevOps)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered

Salary: $74,325–$82,500 per year

What you will do

• Support Veterans Affairs applications and lead migration to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain configuration management tools for internally developed and commercial software.
• Perform configuration management and release engineering across multiple environments.
• Design and maintain automated productivity tools, build procedures, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Establish company-wide configuration standards and train developers on quality practices.
• Provide technical guidance, investigate complex build and deployment issues, and mentor junior analysts and engineers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) and pass the required government investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience; eight or more years may substitute for education.
• Deep expertise in software configuration management, release engineering, source control, branching and merging, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Subversion, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Nexus, or Artifactory.
• Experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, databases, dependency management, and build reproducibility.

Nice to have

• ITIL Foundation, CMII, or equivalent configuration management certification.
• Experience with EDI X.12 medical claims, HL7, or FHIR.
