Environmental Specialist III, IV, V - Power (Air Compliance)

Location: OK Tulsa - Headquarters; hybrid work is available for most office roles.

What you will do

• Lead air permitting analyses and application development for natural gas-fired power generation projects.
• Evaluate prospective opportunities across multiple states, including feasibility, permitting pathways, and location-related limitations.
• Assess permitting risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and lead approved courses of action.
• Work with operations to develop permit conditions and compliance strategies.
• Coordinate environmental planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and air permitting and modeling impact assessments.
• Lead complex projects and programs, mentor others, and engage with industry associations and environmental communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Environmental Specialist III: at least 4 years of air permitting and compliance experience.
• Environmental Specialist IV: at least 8 years of air permitting and compliance experience.
• Environmental Specialist V: at least 15 years of air permitting and compliance experience.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as the highest priority.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and PC tools.

Nice to have

• Experience permitting power or heavy-industry projects, including Prevention of Significant Deterioration and Nonattainment New Source Review.
• Expertise in project management and stakeholder engagement with industry and permitting authorities.
