Regional Transmission Organization Manager (Electric Energy)

Salary: $112,200–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop strategic direction, policy positions, and recommendations for Regional Transmission Organization and Regional Reliability Organization matters.
• Coordinate transmission strategy with Energy Markets, Settlements, Transmission Operations, Metering Data Management, Business Systems, and Regulatory teams.
• Represent organizational interests in RTO policy and board committees, industry work groups, regulatory forums, and stakeholder discussions.
• Prepare reports, comments, presentations, and briefing materials for senior management, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead initiatives resulting from RTO policy changes, including reliability readiness, system implementation, and cost recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 10 years of progressive operations and regulatory experience in the electric energy industry, including at least 4 years working with Regional Transmission or Reliability Organizations.
• Knowledge of RTO market aspects, tariff administration, transmission policy, and reliability or market rules.
• Strong business acumen, leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and travel overnight regularly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to synthesize complex information.
