Principal Platform Engineer, Employee Technology (Atlassian)

Salary: $95,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the architecture, administration, and operational health of the Atlassian Cloud environment, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery.
• Design scalable workflows, permissions, request types, queues, SLAs, customer portals, and configuration governance processes.
• Build and maintain integrations and automations using Jira Automation, Power Automate, and Microsoft Graph.
• Connect Atlassian products with Salesforce, Workday, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Copilot, while monitoring integration health and resolving failures.
• Administer Wrike, Lucid Suite, and Camtasia, including provisioning, licensing, configuration, audits, and usage reporting.
• Mentor junior administrators, document platform decisions, and advise stakeholders on technical feasibility, effort, and platform risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, computer science, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical role.
• Foundational knowledge of statistics, data wrangling, and visualization using Excel, SQL, and Python.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data preparation and reporting, and the ability to follow established methods while escalating ambiguous issues.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor.
