Senior Network Engineer (Self-Driving Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, ON; Dallas, TX; or Pittsburgh, PA

Salary: CAD 145,000–177,000 per year, plus potential equity awards and annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage the multi-site switching, routing, wireless, firewall, and WAN infrastructure.
• Plan ISP capacity and redundancy across all locations.
• Lead network incident response, root-cause analysis, postmortems, escalation processes, and on-call coverage.
• Harden network configurations and standardize hardware, firmware, IP addressing, VLANs, and segmentation.
• Evaluate zero-trust and mesh VPN tools, including Tailscale, Cloudflare, and Zscaler.
• Support vehicle connectivity and reliable developer-facing network paths while scaling infrastructure for on-premise compute and storage clusters.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of the OSI model and hands-on experience with enterprise switching, routing, and wireless platforms.
• Experience operating firewalls, VPNs, WAN optimization, and multi-site networks.
• Experience with IPAM, VLAN design, network monitoring, observability, and incident-response processes.
• Linux proficiency and experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration-management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
• Strong communication skills, including leading postmortems and documenting technical and non-technical findings.
• Willingness to own network responsibilities across multiple sites and interest in self-driving technology.

• Experience with in-vehicle, industrial, or OT networking and field hardware support.
