Knowledge Translation Manager (Public Health/Policy): Developing integrated knowledge mobilization strategies and research-based products on substance use, work, and well-being in trades and construction with an accent on stakeholder engagement, clinical guidance, and labour policy. Focus on translating research for workers, employers, clinicians, policymakers, and community partners, and leading consultations, policy briefs, toolkits, and dissemination activities.
Location: Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; blend of in-person and remote work arrangements
Salary: $5,692.25–$8,179.50 CAD monthly

What you will do
- Design and develop an integrated knowledge mobilization and exchange strategy for research on substance use, work, and well-being in trades and construction.
- Create and disseminate research summaries, infographics, factsheets, pocket guides, clinical guidance documents, employer resources, policy briefs, reports, toolkits, and best-practice guidelines.
- Manage Community Advisory Groups by developing engagement strategies, planning consultations, leading discussions, and determining follow-up actions.
- Build and maintain relationships with academics, clinicians, public servants, employers, labour organizations, workers, and community partners.
- Support journal publications, conference presentations, community forums, and other end-of-grant academic and community activities.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience or demonstrated knowledge in knowledge translation, knowledge mobilization theory, and practice.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, accuracy, attention to detail, discretion, and independent judgment.
- Ability to work with research stakeholders, government officials, clinicians, the trades and construction sector, and people with lived and living experience of substance use.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to work in a blend of in-person and remote arrangements at the Vancouver Campus.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in sociology, health services, knowledge translation research, public health, public policy, communications, evaluation and outcomes measurement, or a related field.
- Knowledge of media, health research publication, social and health policy, labour law, and health equity.
- Interest in or knowledge of substance use, public health, or policy.
