Industrialization Automation Engineer (Manufacturing Automation)

Location: Primarily onsite at Tier 1 partner factories in northern Vietnam, mainly Phú Thọ, Bắc Ninh, and Hải Phòng; approximately 40% travel within Southeast Asia

What you will do

• Identify opportunities to automate or semi-automate production and reduce manual work.
• Analyze manufacturing processes, equipment performance, production data, and KPIs to improve productivity, quality, capacity, and flexibility.
• Desihirify.global, test, implement, and optimize scalable automation equipment and processes with Tier 1 manufacturing partners.
• Support stable mass-production processes and ensure automation solutions improve operator safety and long-term performance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Test teams to improve test automation and integration with Manufacturing Execution Systems.
• Document automation solutions, process settings, and performance results for replication across production lines and sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in automation engineering, production engineering, or manufacturing test, preferably in consumer electronics.
• Hands-on experience implementing automation systems and platforms, including robotics, PLC, and OPC-UA programming.
• Experience working with Tier 1 EMS, ODM, or OEM manufacturing partners.
• Strong English communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Azure DevOps.
• Primarily onsite work at manufacturing partner facilities in northern Vietnam, with approximately 40% regional travel and occasional international travel in Southeast Asia.

• Chinese language skills.
