Underwriter III - Commercial (Technology)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; in-office role

Base salary: $103,500–$172,500 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Prepare loan offerings, risk ratings, scorecards, and credit recommendations for commercial transactions of varying complexity.
• Analyze creditworthiness, collateral strength, financial condition, risks, and mitigating factors.
• Manage ongoing credit risk for assigned portfolios and complete pre-approval and post-approval activities.
• Gather and validate information from internal and external customers and resolve missing or inconsistent data.
• Confirm regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Act as a subject matter expert, coach other underwriters, and support special projects or management coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant direct industry experience.
• Knowledge of credit analysis, financial analysis, underwriting, risk assessment, and credit decision-making.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco office; hirify.global does not provide employment visa sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
