Sour Gas Field Operator (Natural Gas)

Location: Jal, New Mexico, United States. The role involves field-based operations on a 14/14 rotation and 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Operate engines, compressors, dehydration equipment, pumps, separators, filter vessels, environmental controls, tank batteries, and gas gathering systems.
• Monitor remote compressor stations, valve sites, pipelines, gauges, equipment indicators, and pipeline pressure.
• Collect fluid and gas samples and conduct production and fluid testing.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment inspections, and support compressor and engine overhauls.
• Operate and maintain gas process equipment from station inlet through station discharge, including equipment covered by OQ responsibilities.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, lockout/tagout, and hazard-control procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge or developing experience in CMMS, equipment maintenance, mechanical concepts, natural gas composition, process controls, systems analysis, and operational safety.
