Service Technician (Natural Gas)

Location: Midland, Texas, United States. Onsite field work may require residence within the call-out response area.

What you will do

• Respond to customer service requests, including gas connections and disconnections, and explain required repairs.
• Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading equipment; read meters and record usage for billing.
• Support natural gas and other emergency response activities and address safety or encroachment issues.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for company and regulatory requirements.
• Safely operate and inspect assigned vehicles and equipment while working at customer premises and in varied outdoor conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license meeting company standards.
• Ability to complete and maintain Operator Qualifications, on-the-job training, required classes, and safety certifications.
• Ability to lift up to 53 pounds, walk 500 feet, and work on ladders, roofs, attics, under houses, and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather, respond to emergency call-outs, work shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours.
• Pre- and post-employment drug testing and motor vehicle record checks are required for this safety-sensitive position.
