Operations Specialist (Missouri City, TX)

Location: Onsite in Missouri City, Texas, near Houston

Energy infrastructure company providing transportation and storage services for natural gas and other energy products across North America.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressor stations, engines, turbines, pumps, valves, measurement equipment, and related process equipment.
• Install, repair, service, and maintain pipeline components, corrosion-control systems, storage well equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose equipment issues, perform minor electrical repairs, and start, stop, and operate engines and pumps within defined parameters.
• Inspect and oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities, and train company and contractor personnel.
• Perform DOT, state agency, EPA, and other governmental compliance activities while documenting work and maintaining records.
• Respond to callouts and emergencies, identify safety and environmental concerns, and participate in operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience; job level is commensurate with experience and skills.
• Basic computer and math skills, including familiarity with MS Office and company software.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather, enter confined spaces, climb and work at elevated locations, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work onsite in Missouri City, Texas, respond to after-hours callouts, travel as required, and work overtime.

Nice to have

• Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high- and low-pressure systems.
• Pipeline, compression, compressor engine, pump, or related equipment experience.
