Senior Manager Technical Project Management (Medical Diagnostics)

Location: O'Callaghan Mills, Ireland; approximately 25% travel

What you will do

• Own the full project lifecycle from initiation through deployment for major and medium-sized projects.
• Lead regional and global technical and non-technical projects across operations and R&D.
• Establish project and portfolio KPIs using Danaher Business System tools and Global Operations PMO methodology.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality standards, risks, reporting, proposals, and requirements documentation.
• Improve project execution, portfolio management, and project management talent development methodologies.
• Support and develop project managers and teams globally, ensuring delivery of project benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of project management experience, or a master’s degree with 12+ years, or a doctoral degree with 9+ years.
• Significant experience in a regulated medical device or diagnostics environment, including manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, engineering, or logistics and distribution.
• Strong experience leading large, complex operations or R&D projects, programs, and teams.
• Project management training or qualification and experience in project portfolio management.
• Experience leading design changes and technology transfer programs in a medical device or diagnostics regulatory environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, influencing, mentoring, and relationship-building skills in a global matrixed organization.

Nice to have

• Lean or Six Sigma experience, Kaizen leadership, and structured problem-solving capability.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Smartsheet, Miro, Excel, and project management software.
