Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Location: Beaumont, Texas, USA; on-site work involving shipping, receiving, vehicles, laboratory samples, and physical handling.

Salary: USD 20–25 per hour

What you will do

• Pick up, drop off, distribute, and ship samples and materials to designated laboratories and refineries.
• Log samples into the laboratory system and maintain retain records.
• Prepare samples for transportation and arrange courier services for hot shot shipments.
• Receive, process, and distribute packages delivered by transportation couriers.
• Drive forklifts for loading and unloading shipments and maintain departmental company vehicles.
• Assist laboratory and operations personnel with retrieving retained samples and completing administrative duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work with chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum materials.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, movement, reaching, and related physical activities.
• Data-entry knowledge, strong written and verbal communication, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions independently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to read and comprehend labels and instructions.
