Material Handler - Shipping & Receiving (Manufacturing)

Salary: $18.45–$22.04 per hour

What you will do

• Receive, unload, inspect, move, stack, pack, and ship materials, supplies, equipment, and finished printed products.
• Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, weights, charges, labels, and delivery instructions.
• Operate forklifts, pallet handlers, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment, including electric forklifts.
• Maintain receiving, shipping, inventory, and shipment records while checking goods against supporting documents.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, production, customer service, and management to resolve operational issues and meet delivery requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure dock area while following safety, quality, and operating procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of administrative or operational support experience in shipping or manufacturing operations.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with materials tracking, storage and retrieval, inventory control, reporting systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Strong computer, communication, organization, arithmetic, and coordination skills.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and complete company forklift certification.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds.
