Network Solutions Engineer (Cloud Networking)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting also lists Renton, WA.

What you will do

• Design and operate cloud networking architectures covering VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, security groups, and hybrid connectivity.
• Build transit hub and multi-cloud connectivity topologies using AWS, Azure, and GCP networking services.
• Architect edge networking with CDNs, global load balancing, WAF integration, DNS, and private connectivity to managed services.
• Automate the network estate with Terraform and implement security controls, zero-trust principles, and DDoS protection.
• Operate Kubernetes networking, build observability through flow logs and packet capture, and optimize network costs.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, security, and business stakeholders while contributing to design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• 5+ years of networking experience, including significant cloud networking experience and hands-on work with at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, BGP, hybrid connectivity, cloud security, and network controls.
• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code practices for cloud networking.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, service mesh fundamentals, troubleshooting, and packet-level analysis.
• Eligible candidates must be U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, or H-1B transfer candidates; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Cloud networking specialty certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer.
• Multi-cloud networking and cloud-to-cloud connectivity experience.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, SASE, or eBPF-based networking tools.
• Experience with regulated industries and strict network segmentation requirements.
