Senior Project Manager (Construction & Permitting)

Salary: USD 90,000–115,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage project logistics and execution from initiation through completion.
• Create project plans, resource plans, reports, risk and issue logs, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate clients, architects, engineers, contractors, internal teams, and municipal agencies throughout filing, approval, permitting, and sign-off processes.
• Track milestones, schedules, deliverables, budgets, and project status while providing regular client communications.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks affecting project scope, schedule, or budget.
• Maintain project status and billing updates in firm software and support departmental goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and seven or more years of comparable project management experience.
• Experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or real estate development.
• Advanced knowledge of municipal permitting, code compliance, and filing processes, including New York City DOB, FDNY, DOT, and LPC requirements.
• Experience working with architects, engineers, contractors, and municipal agencies on project approvals.
• NYC Department of Buildings Class 2 Code & Zoning Representative License, or the ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, problem-solving, multitasking, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior project managers.
