Forward Deployed Engineer Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements, architectures, and use cases.
• Integrate the Querit Search API into AI agents, RAG systems, research tools, and other AI applications.
• Build demos, prototypes, proof-of-concepts, reference implementations, sample code, and integration guides.
• Debug API integration issues and help customers move applications from evaluation to production.
• Advise on search quality, latency, retrieval strategies, and integration best practices.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to identify customer needs and support technical evaluations, onboarding, and deployment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or a similar language.
• Experience with REST APIs, backend systems, or web applications.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or retrieval systems.
• Strong independent debugging, problem-solving, and customer communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site from the Bay Area office for at least three months.

Nice to have

• Previous software engineering, AI, or technical internship experience.
• Experience building AI agents, RAG pipelines, search, or retrieval systems.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, OpenAI SDKs, or similar tools.
• Experience with developer tools, APIs, AI infrastructure, enterprise software, side projects, hackathons, or production applications.
