AI Engineer Intern

What you will do

• Design and build AI-powered prototypes, MVPs, and proofs of concept using emerging technology frameworks.
• Develop full-stack applications and end-to-end features from database to user interface.
• Build scalable APIs, data pipelines, and analytical tools connecting AI models with product experiences.
• Deploy applications on AWS while considering cost and performance optimization.
• Partner with product teams to identify AI opportunities in existing workflows and validate customer-focused solutions.
• Research emerging AI technologies and present technical demonstrations and product concepts to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or have equivalent self-directed learning through courses, certifications, bootcamps, or personal projects.
• Demonstrated full-stack development experience with React, Node.js, and Python.
• Hands-on AI/ML project experience using foundation models.
• Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year and full-time during breaks.
• Ability to learn continuously, solve systems-level problems, and communicate complex AI concepts clearly.
• Experience exploring foundation model APIs, vector databases, and agentic frameworks.

• Portfolio of end-to-end projects with AI features.

• Previous startup experience or entrepreneurial initiatives.
