Software Asset Management Product Owner - Enterprise SaaS

What you will do

• Own the roadmap, backlog, success metrics, and governance for a portfolio of enterprise SaaS applications and IT asset management tools.
• Administer and secure SaaS platforms, including SSO, conditional access, MFA, administrator roles, service accounts, service principals, secrets, and API permissions.
• Automate joiner, mover, leaver, license provisioning, deprovisioning, role assignment, and access review workflows using AI, APIs, scripting, and low-code tools.
• Manage SaaS application lifecycles from onboarding through renewal and retirement, maintaining authoritative inventory and entitlement data.
• Analyze usage, license consumption, spending, and risk to identify reclamation, right-sizing, and compliance opportunities.
• Partner with Security, Identity, Procurement, Finance, Enterprise Architecture, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SaaS application administration or IT Asset Management with hands-on technical depth.
• 3+ years of experience configuring, securing, and integrating enterprise SaaS applications, including SSO, API connections, and administration consoles.
• Strong understanding of named, concurrent, consumption, and enterprise software licensing models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including connecting usage, entitlement, and spend data into recommendations.
• Ability to maintain accurate configuration and inventory data and identify discrepancies through data analysis and system queries.
• Experience or knowledge of ITAM/SAM tools, CMDBs, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Entra ID/Azure AD, service principals, API permissions, workflow automation, reporting, and access review processes.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• ITAM, SAM, procurement, IAITAM, or ITIL certification.
• Experience supporting SOX or ITGC processes.
• Experience building dashboards and reports with Excel or BI tools and communicating results to non-technical stakeholders.
