Engineering Manager (Mechanical Product Design)

What you will do

• Lead design studies to solve technical and consumer issues during product development.
• Own product designs from conception and CAD execution through prototyping, verification, and production.
• Lead CAD reviews and manage hands-on prototype building, laboratory testing, development, and reporting.
• Improve designs for cost efficiency, manufacturability, quality, and consumer value.
• Apply engineering and product design standards, materials knowledge, and high-volume manufacturing expertise.
• Develop engineering talent and collaborate with multifunctional and executive teams to bring products to market.

Requirements

• Technical degree, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or Industrial Design Engineering.
• Typically 7–10 years of experience in mechanical, product, or industrial design, including typically 2+ years of people management.
• Team management experience and the ability to motivate engineers to identify, solve, implement, and verify technical solutions autonomously.
• High-level SolidWorks or Creo expertise and demonstrable experience leading CAD reviews.
• Experience with plastic manufacturing processes and delivering physical products to market.
• Flexibility, collaboration, a positive attitude, and an inquisitive approach are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer goods or household appliances.
• Appreciation of electrical engineering, software, and UX design.
