What you will do

• Support studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Prepare instrumentation specifications, data sheets, schematics, and plan drawings for control system fabrication and installation.
• Perform fundamental instrumentation and controls engineering calculations under engineer supervision.
• Conduct field surveys of existing conditions and support field reporting.
• Coordinate with clients, external partners, and cross-discipline project teams on one or more simultaneous projects.
• Self-check design work and support projects under the direction of experienced Lead or Senior Instrument and Control System Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program in a relevant discipline such as architectural engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.
• Fundamental experience with instrumentation and control system design and implementation.
• Ability to perform fundamental discipline design calculations under engineer supervision.
• Ability to interface with clients and external partners.
• Fundamentals of Engineering Exam registration or completion is preferred.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical codes.
• Experience coordinating with internal cross-discipline project teams.
