Entry-level Mechanical Designer

Location: Hybrid role based in Irvine or Corona, California, United States. Travel up to 10% to mainly local client sites.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses and equity participation.

What you will do

• Assist with the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products using Revit.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis, including heat loads and air flows.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of mechanical systems.
• Prepare engineering documentation, design specifications, plans, reports, presentations, and project updates.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
• Support material, component, and equipment selection as well as quality assurance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Revit software.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in mechanical engineering is helpful but not required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as ASHRAE and IMC.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC design.
