Investment Planning-Co-Op Engineer (Electric Grid)

What you will do

• Support distribution and transmission infrastructure projects, including future-state power-system design.
• Gather, store, and use electrical asset data; create and maintain models using PSSE and CYME.
• Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, project schedules, business cases, and annual investment budgets.
• Validate financial data for budget reviews and manage assigned transmission and distribution investment programs.
• Participate in management-of-change, asset-governance, root-cause analysis, and asset life-cycle planning activities.
• Visit substations and engineering sites to verify facilities and study complex transmission and distribution systems.

Requirements

• Interest in electric infrastructure, power systems, grid planning, and energy transition projects.
• Ability to develop technical and analytical solutions for electrical asset data and grid studies.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, regulatory experts, finance professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work in Dayton, Ohio, and attend site visits at substations or other engineering locations.
• Ability to participate in an engineering co-op program during Spring 2027.
