Platform, Security & AI Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 (AI)

Location: San Jose, California; in-office five days per week

What you will do

• Write backend code and automation in Go within a production-grade codebase.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications across Kubernetes clusters and AWS infrastructure, including EKS, ECR, and IAM.
• Build AI agents, agent evaluation pipelines, and knowledge discovery pipelines for breach impact analysis, compliance reporting, and data access auditing.
• Analyze Kubernetes configurations, identify security gaps, and support the CVE lifecycle by patching container vulnerabilities.
• Develop internal tooling, testing harnesses, security utilities, and API and cross-service integration tests.

Requirements

• Must work in the San Jose office five days per week.
• Be a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree, or a graduate student at an accredited college or university.
• Be comfortable with a major programming language; Python, Go, or Java are preferred.
• Understand core data structures, algorithms, and independent debugging.
• Have foundational knowledge of cybersecurity, data security, AI agents, LLMs, Kubernetes, containerization, Git, and GitHub.
• Study computer science, software development, software engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to event-driven systems such as Redis Pub/Sub or NATS and workflow orchestration with Temporal.
• Understanding of RAG, vector databases, embeddings, LangChain, LangGraph, and AI/ML framework deployment.
