Software Product Security Engineer Intern (Cybersecurity)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America. Must be currently eligible to work in the United States and able to obtain work authorization in 2027 without requiring future sponsorship.

Salary: $35–$40 per hour for US candidates.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test software for enterprise device-security solutions.
• Build automation tools to improve engineering and testing processes.
• Analyze telemetry data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support integrations with Azure, AWS, and other cloud services.
• Develop proofs of concept for emerging customer security requirements.
• Troubleshoot defects, document technical designs and test results, and participate in code reviews and Agile development.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and enrolled full time at an accredited university.
• No more than 24 months of professionally related prior work experience, excluding internships, teaching assistance, research work, and military experience.
• Programming experience with Python, C#, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
• Understanding of software development and testing principles, data analysis, and software automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States in 2027 without requiring immigration sponsorship, including CPT or OPT support.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity or enterprise device management.
• Experience with APIs, cloud-service integration, or telemetry systems.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development or analytics.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles for technical products.
