Automotive Senior Technician

Location: Greer, United States; onsite retail automotive service role

Salary: $18.54–$31.63 flat-rate pay

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform automotive maintenance and tire repairs to specification.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to non-technical customers.
• Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
• Complete paid formal training and obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skills in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Experience with general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly, with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must complete Form I-9 employment eligibility verification; temporary work authorization or sponsorship needs may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is acceptable.
