Focus on leading and mentoring technicians, explaining complex diagnoses clearly, and maintaining ASE certifications through paid training.
Location: 010553 Lakeside, United States; onsite retail service location
Salary: $22.66–$35.52 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do
- Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and recommended repairs to customers without mechanical expertise.
- Lead, assist, and train technicians and mechanics in technical activities.
- Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of the A1–A8 areas within the first two years.
Requirements
- Must maintain a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brake and hydraulic systems, steering, suspension, and alignments.
- Experience with general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.
- Preferred: three years of automotive repair experience, vocational-technical training, or demonstrated skills through assessments or certifications.
Nice to have
- A.S.E. certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is acceptable.
